Understanding the Dashboard

Brand instance

When a new university partner joins, this is when we set up the brand specific data in the Presentations WordPress. All of the brand-specific configurations are setup and kept in this area. 

In this location, the school’s domain, styling, colour scheme etc are set.

Note: this is the primary component needed to add a new university partner on presentations.

Short course instance 

The short course instance is a vital part of the page creation process. Each new course needs a short course instance created. Although the data from this instance is primarily used in the hero section of an Info Pack. The same data can be used in other product offerings such as Index Page course cards.

Schools instance

This is where the individual school configurations related to the tailored page are done. 

Page Creation Process

Steps to take before building a page 

  1. Get UUID of the new course in the Salesforce Object Sheet 
  2. Add new course to the Presentations Master
  3. Look through the Launch Pack (Make sure the SEO team fills out the section on SEO requirements. Most launch packs are typically complete, but if they aren’t, they must be returned back so the team can fill them out.)
    Note: What we fetch from the SEO section > url slug 

Upload process 

1. Create Short Course Page 

  • Click ‘add new’
  • Add course identifier e.g. ‘LSE-SCN’
  • Upload course information

Product configuration page 

  • Enable UUID to ‘yes’
  • Add UUID
  • Link associated form page
  • Link associated info pack
  • Select brand
  • Add slug
  • Click ‘publish’

2. Create Tailored Page  

  • Click add new’
  • Add course identifier e.g. ‘LSE-SCN’
  • Select ‘Landing Page Template’
  • Add slug
  • Select page builder sections
  • Select associated short course 
  • Save draft and publish 

Convenor section
The convenor section on tailored pages has its own separate instance

  • Click ‘add new’
  • Upload convenor image
  • Upload title & bio
  • Click ‘publish’

3. Create Info Pack (Prospectus)  

  • Click add new’
  • Add course identifier e.g. ‘LSE-SCN’
  • Select ‘ Aurora Landing Page Template’
  • Add slug
  • Select brand 
  • Select associated short course
  • Add sections to page builder (note: an info pack will always have 14 sections in total)
  • Save draft and click ‘publish’
