Initial Setup

  1. Open up Titan CMS
  2. Underneath Short Courses, expand the list so that you can see the search bar.
  3. Within your Launch Pack document, scroll to the section titled “Course Page Content”.
  4. Paste the Headline into the search bar & click Search.
  5. Expand your Online Short Course that appears (assuming it’s correct).

Course Page Content Updates

  1. Open up the Banner, Overview, What will set you apart, and Certificate pages.

Banner Page

  1. In your Launch Pack document, scroll to the section titled “Course Page Content”.
  2. The text underneath the “Headline” is what you’ll paste into the “Blurb” section within your Banner Page in the Titan CMS.
  3. Save the Small Image, Large Image, and Card Image to your computer. You’ll use these again on the edX About Page.
  4. Click Update Page, and wait until you see the green “Page updated” banner at the top.

Overview Page

  1. Within the “Course Page Content” section of your Launch Pack, scroll down to “Course Overview”.
  2. Copy the text in the “Course Overview” section.
  3. Back in the Titan CMS, paste this text in the “Overview Text 1” section, but be sure to leave the first line of text speaking towards the Duration. Paste all of the new text below the Duration line.
  4. Click Update Page, and wait until you see the green “Page updated” banner at the top.

What will set you apart

  1. Within the “Course Page Content” section of your Launch Pack, scroll down to “Course curriculum”.
  2. Copy the sentence underneath Course Curriculum in the launch pack and paste it into the “Curriculum Blurb” section within the Titan CMS.
  3. Click Update Page, and wait until you see the green “Page updated” banner at the top.

Certificate Page

  1. Within the “Course Page Content” section of your Launch Pack, scroll down to “About the certificate”.
  2. Paste the text above the italicized text from your Info Pack into the “Blurb” section of the Titan CMS.

edX About Page (aka GEAG Detail 2) Content Updates

  1. Within the Titan CMS, find the parent page that you expanded in the earlier step in the section of this page titled “Initial Setup”, step 5.
  2. Check to see if there is a GEAG Detail 2 page. If so, open that. If not, below your parent page from step 1. Click “Add Child Page”
  3. Change Layout to GEAG Detail 2
  4. Label should be “GEAG Detail 2”.
    1. This step is incredibly important – make sure you’re typing in the label as “GEAG Detail 2”. This is what automatically creates the slug, and the backend tech is what tells Titan that this GEAG Detail 2 page is the edX About Page.
  5. Open up your edX About Page Copy Doc (this is different from the InfoPack)
  6. The text underneath your headline should be pasted into the Blurb and Meta Description fields within the Titan CMS.
  7. Go back to your page tree and copy the end of the slug from the parent page in step 1 to paste into the Slug section of your new edX About Page.
  8. Go back to your page tree and copy the page name from the parent page in step 1 to paste into the Meta Title section of your new edX About Page.
  9. Attach the 3 images you originally downloaded from the Banner Page and upload them to the appropriate Small Image, Large Image and Card URL section.
  10. At this point, click Create Page. This will save your work thus far.
  11. The Overview Heading 1 will always be “About this course” unless its YALE or OXFORD, where it will use “About this programme”.
  12. The Overview Text 1 will come from your edX About Page Copy Doc in the section “Course overview”.
  13. The Overview Heading 2 will be from the next section in your edX About Page Copy Doc, typically “Is this course for you?”
    1. Note: this section is currently omitted from edX About Page, but we’re doing the work now so that when it does shows, the content is already there.
  14. The Overview Text 2 will come from the “Is this course for you” section in your edX About Page.
  15. Stat Heading 1 will be the first line of the statistic from your copy doc under Fact 1.
  16. Stat Content 1 will be the rest of the paragraph of the statistic from your copy doc under Fact 1.
  17. Stat Heading 2 will be the first line of the statistic from your copy doc under Fact 2.
  18. Stat Content 2 will be the rest of the paragraph of the statistic from your copy doc under Fact 2.
  19. Scroll back up to the Course Curriculum section of your copy doc. Paste in the title into Curriculum Heading.
  20. Paste in the sentence under the heading into Curriculum Blurb.
  21. OM Heading is the Orientation Module words of the copy doc
  22. OM Description is right next to the OM Heading in the copy doc
  23. Paste in each Module Heading and Description
  24. Click Update Page, and wait until you see the green “Page updated” banner at the top.
